Central Exchange’s  location is ideal for business meetings, luncheons, holiday parties, weddings, and more. With a variety of rooms, each space can accommodate 6-120 guests comfortably. Money made from event space rentals goes back to Central Exchange to help fund future programming, event series, and ongoing opportunities to help women connect with each other.

Historic 1020 Central

Fire Station No. 2, located at 1020 Central, opened on July 16,1906 and served the Kansas City Fire Department as its headquarters until 1958. During that time, it housed the Fire Chief, the First Assistant Fire Chief, and several different fire trucks and equipment, all horse drawn. In 1958, the building continued as a fire station while the equipment moved to storage across various other downtown stations. The station finally closed in 1980.
