Yve Rojas

Yve Rojas is a Professional Auctioneer who has a dynamic and engaging stage presence that is truly effective and memorable. After a long career in the entertainment field as an actor she has decided to bundle her passion for people, travel, hosting and auctioneering and use those combined experiences to become a sought after Benefit Auctioneer, Speciality Auctioneer and Ring-Woman. Although one may think her experience on the CBS reality show Survivor was an adventure, Yve much prefers her self-directed adventure into the world of auctioneering. Benefit Auctions are her passion. As an Auctioneer she believes it is an honor and a privilege through her voice on stage to be a passionate and knowledgeable Ambassador for her clients.

Yve graduated from World Wide College of Auctioneering and received her designation as Colonel after receiving both a general diploma and a secondary diploma in bilingual auctioneering. She is a member of the NAA (National Auctioneers Association) where she holds the designation of Benefit Auctioneer Specialist BAS and Certified Auctioneer Institute CAI. Yve is also a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and The American Federation Of Television And Radio Artists (AFTRA) and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree form the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Yve was the 2016/17 Kansas Auctioneer Champion and can be seen as an anchor for Automotive Industry News.

Terry Bassham

Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer
Great Plains Energy

Terry Bassham is Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Great Plains Energy and Kansas City Power and Light. As chairman, he is the only management representative on the board.  Terry Bassham was appointed president and chief executive officer of Great Plains Energy and KCP&L, effective June 2012. Prior to being named to his current position, Mr. Bassham served as president and chief operating officer, where he focused on achieving Tier 1 performance in safety, operations and customer service.

Mr. Bassham served originally as KCP&L’s executive vice president of finance & strategic development and chief financial officer and more recently as executive vice president – utility operations. He was instrumental in leading KCP&L through its comprehensive energy plan, an ambitious initiative that included building 100 megawatts of wind power, installing environmental retrofits at several generating facilities and constructing Iatan 2, an 850-megawatt coal-fired power plant. Mr. Bassham also helped transform KCP&L’s business through the sale of Strategic Energy and the acquisition of Aquila, which doubled the company’s workforce and significantly increased its service territory.

Before joining KCP&L in March 2005, Mr. Bassham was executive vice president, chief financial officer and chief administrative officer for El Paso Electric Company (EPE) in Texas, where he oversaw the financial, treasury, and regulatory and administrative functions. He joined EPE in 1996 as general counsel with responsibility for legislative affairs, regulatory affairs and corporate governance.

Active in the Kansas City area community, Mr. Bassham serves on several boards, including the Commerce Bancshares Inc., the Urban Neighborhood Initiative, the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, the Civic Council of Greater Kansas City, the Linda Hall Library and the winlwin Board for the advancement of women in business.

Mr. Bassham holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from the University of Texas-Arlington and a Juris Doctor degree from St. Mary’s University Law School in San Antonio, Texas.

Karen Daniel

Chief Financial Officer

Karen Daniel is a Member of the Board of Directors, Chief Financial Officer and President of the Finance & Technology Solutions organization for Black & Veatch, a global leader in providing engineering, consulting and construction services for Energy, Water, and Telecommunication Sectors.

In her role as CFO, she is responsible for leading the company’s global financial operations that include treasury, tax, accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and financial systems, and establishes corporate financial policies.

Ms. Daniel also leads the company’s global IT organization which includes oversight of systems, technology development and associated service providers.

Ms. Daniel serves on numerous public and philanthropic boards, including 2017 Chair of the Greater Kansas City Chamber Board of Directors, with on-going support to the Executive Committee, as well as other ad hoc Chamber committees.  She is a member of the Snap-on Board, the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City Board, Northwest Missouri State Foundation Board and recently joined the Commerce Bancshares Board.  Ms. Daniel also served on President Obama’s Advisory Board on Doing Business in Africa.
